Flavours: – Reductive with meaty aromas. Some Blackberries and herbs. Evolves to leathery equilibrium.
Misc interest: –
Viticulture: – Needs warm south facing vineyards. Also needs cool shallow clay soil to tame vigour.
Vinification: – Gives high alcohol and generous tannins. Very reductive. Good bedfellow to Grenache.
Snippet: – Needs 13% abv otherwise no flavour.
