History: Well known in its use in the Savoie to make sparkling wine. Specifically in Seyssel (the lesser known Savoie sparkler) made by Varichon & Clerc along with Molette and Jacquere. Other producers include Maison Mollex & de Monterminod.
Misc interest: Very similar to Furmint (Hungary)
Viticulture: Late ripening, high acidity, rot resistant & low yielding.
